After Garfield's unexpected reunion with his long-lost father, ragged alley cat Vic, he and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered lives to join Vic on a risky heist.
Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.

Unfortunately The Garfield Movie is just a simple heist movie, with a number of distracting subplots and forgettable characters - at least where the adults are concerned. While Chris Pratt is miscast here, the other voice actors do a stellar job.

The animation, from the texture of Garfield’s fur to the world our feline friend inhabits, is incredibly bright, colourful and teeming with life throughout.

There are a few great one lines that got a laugh around the cinema, but not much to laugh at for the adults.

While the animation was incredible The Garfield Movie fails to really capture the Garfield spirit we have all come to know over the years.
